Our Process

K2 Stone is a vertically integrated company that quarries,
processes and distributes natural stone products for
interior and exterior building applications.

As both the quarrier and distributor, K2 Stone is able to
uphold industry leading quality standards, and provide an
unmatched level of customization. We have 6 quarries
and 2 production facilities. Our distribution facilities stock
a wide range of stone products to ensure we can serve
you better. We strive to support the communities where
we live, work and operate in an environmentally
responsible manner.

History

Quarries

K2 STONE'S VANCOUVER ISLAND QUARRY is located near Port
Renfrew (close to Victoria BC on Vancouver Island). All leases are secure for decades to come with the total area encompassing 600 acres. K2 Stone has built in-house equipment and processes to maximize productivity and ensure quality targets are consistently achieved. The Vancouver Island Quarry produces our Ocean Pearl Stone which is a Metamorphic Slate with Quartz.

K2 STONE'S MONTANA QUARRIES are located in the Flathead Valley
of Northwest Montana and provide for a unique mix of colours, shapes
and sizes which complement our Ocean Pearl lines nicely.
Our Montana Quarries produce our Big Sky Stone; an Argillite Quartzite which is native to the Prichard Formation.

Production

K2 STONE'S DUKE POINT rock processing facility has been operating since 2005 and at full production since January 2007. All of our Ocean Pearl products are refined on Vancouver Island British Colombia Canada.
THE SAW SHOP IN KALISPELL MONTANA processes all of the Big Sky thinstone products. Montana Flagstone, Retaining Block and Ledgestone are all harvested and split at the Quarry.

Distribution

Once the stone has been
split, cut and packaged it
is distributed across North
America. K2 Stone has
stores in Victoria BC,
Vancouver BC, Kelowna
BC, Calgary AB,
Edmonton AB and
Kalispell MT. We also
have 3rd party distributors
located throughout the
United States.
